Delete your Amigo POS account

You can ask us to delete your Amigo POS staff account and the personal data associated with it. This page explains what gets deleted, what we have to keep, and how to make the request.
How to request deletion
Email support@amigo.gg from the email address on your Amigo POS account with the subject “Account deletion request” and include:
- The email or phone number used to sign in
- The restaurant (tenant) name your account belongs to
We verify the request by replying to the same email address and may ask for one additional confirmation before proceeding. We process verified requests within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your staff profile (name, email, phone, role, hashed password)
- Your active login sessions and bearer tokens
- Personal device settings stored under your account
- Customer records that you personally entered, on request from your restaurant’s admin
What we retain (and why)
We are required to keep some records even after account deletion:
- Invoices and order records — retained for up to 8 years after the transaction date to meet Indian GST and accounting record-keeping requirements. Personal identifiers in these records are removed or anonymised; only the financial details remain.
- Aggregated & anonymised analytics (totals per day, item popularity counts) — retained indefinitely with no link back to you.
- Security logs — retained for up to 90 days for abuse and fraud detection, then automatically purged.
After deletion
You will receive an email confirming the deletion. After that:
- You will no longer be able to sign in with the deleted account.
- The mobile app will sign you out automatically on next launch.
- To use Amigo POS again you can sign up for a fresh account.
